Nationwide Engineering Plans provided civil engineering services for this 3-story, 60-unit apartment complex on a largely vacant 1-acre parcel in Sacramento, CA. The building consists of 40 single-room occupancy units and 20 studio units targeted to people exiting homelessness. The site includes a 22-space parking lot, courtyard, landscaped facilities, bike parking, and two drywells for stormwater runoff. The site also has offices for counseling, group kitchens on each floor, community space, and laundry. A local housing services partner provides intensive on-site wraparound services for residents, including crisis prevention, mental health services, and employment support.
